WPARC PSK31 Million Mile CertificateThe Western Placer Amateur Radio Club sponsors the Million Mile certificate for amateur radio operators using the PSK-31 mode. Some software used for this mode will give you the mileage between your station and the station you have contacted. Add these up. When you have a million miles, send a copy of your log and $5 to:
WPARC
Be sure to include your own Maidenhead Grid Locator number and your return address. We will send you a certificate suitable for framing. The only rule is that you cannot count the same station twice on the same band (such as 20 meters). However, a contact with the same station on different bands (for example, 20 and 40 meters) is OK. Helpful tipsIf your PSK software does not give you mileage, you can find the mileage from your home grid square to the station you are logging using www.chris.org/cgi-bin/finddis. If you should happen to miss the Maidenhead Grid Locator number of a station, here's how you can get it:
Additionally, you might find Whereitis helpful. This program calculates the distance and direction between any two points on earth. |
